Personal Statement
I began my football career in 7th grade. I play both offense and defense and enjoy a challenge as well as motivating and uplifting my fellow teammates. That first year I played I was invited to be on the Central MA All-Star Team locally. In 8th grade my team started working with a personal trainer which I continue to do in the off season and we had an amazing season making it to the MA Superbowl. That was an accomplishment I was proud of. In November of 2017 I was chosen to try out for the American Youth Football - Central MA All-Star team and was one of 24 picked to travel to Florida to compete against All-Star teams from other states. It was an experience I will never forget and taught me how to work well with new teammates and coaches. I was asked to attend FBU's invitation only Top Gun 2017 and I learned a lot. In 2018 I took party in USA Football's developmental camp in Canton, Ohio and got to work with players and coaches from all over the United States. I am grateful that I've been able to play in my town but also in different states exposing me to different levels of play and coaching styles. I always focus on my team as a whole. I give my best effort but always acknowledge and realize that it is the team as a whole that succeeds. I am always willing to help out a fellow teammate with praise or pointers and I am fiercely loyal. I am focusing on school and am in Honors English and Spanish and AP History to also challenge myself academically. I have participated in school plays and historical sword fighting which builds my agility, strength. This year I am focusing on Mixed Martial Arts in the off season. It is a great way to build endurance and provides a challenging workout while also lifting weights with my football team. My goal is to play football at a college level while I'm pursuing my studies.
