Personal Statement
Football has been my passion since I was 9 years old. I have a tremendous amount of love for this sport. My father was the same at my age, and almost went on to play college ball but he did not get the opportunity. It has been a major goal of mine to do what he couldn't, and both of my parents are supporting me on this path. I am very smart and very disciplined. I can be a leader, and I can bring my teammates up when in tough situations. Football is my passion, but it is important for a student athlete to put in their time towards education as well. I have proven that I can handle both. When it comes to football, many things play a part in how good a team or player is. I believe there are three things a strong player needs. Discipline, heart, and commitment. I have made it my priority to maintain these characteristics. I spend ample time physically training, and I thank my father for disciplining me and making me who I am today. This game takes up a lot of my mind and heart. I would never let anyone or anything convince me to stop playing. I show up at game time and give more than what’s expected of me. After every game or practice, I leave my heart out on the field, just so I can go home at the end of the day and know I played hard.
