Connor Richard '20 Recruiting Profile

I have played football since I was 10 years old and have progressed through the levels from Pop Warner to Freshman Football,  JV and Varsity.  I am eager to advance to the next level and play in college.  Although I have never been the biggest player on the field, I believe I play with greater desire, passion and understanding than some of my bigger teammates and opponents.  This challenges me and keeps me focused on learning and advancing my skills.  As my size begins to equal out with my opponents, I believe I have an advantage.  

I constantly strive to learn all aspects of the game and pride myself in being able to play multiple positions on offense, defense and special teams.  My coaches have always relied on me to be the “go to” when situations require someone to step up and fill in at a position.  Over the course of my career I have played middle linebacker/linebacker, kicker, punter, running back and full back on a regular basis.

I am a three season athlete, also running track and field in both winter and spring.  I continually push myself and my teammates to be the best we can be.  In track I was asked to throw the javelin as a junior, having never thrown it before.  I used the skills I have learned for place kicking to help with my steps and broke my school record by 18 inches and qualified for the New Balance Nationals Outdoor meet.  I would love to have the opportunity to also throw in college.
