Personal Statement
I feel lucky to have grown up in a family surrounded by sports. Whether it be my uncle who played in the NFL (Paul Farren, Cleveland Browns '83 - '91), my first cousin who plays soccer for Michigan State, or my father who was state champion in the triple jump, I've found inspiration from those around me, and seen first-hand the results of hard work, determination, and sacrifice. A three-sport athlete (Football, Basketball, Track), my true passion is football. Since suiting up for the first time in the 5th grade, the sport has helped me get faster, stronger, and better with every drill, every strength session, and every snap of the ball. On the field, I try to stay calm and focused, and at all times I try to lead by example. I also understand the importance of a strong education and the responsibilities that go into being a true student-athlete. As I set out on my high school career, I will continue to focus on becoming a better student, a better athlete, and a better teammate, with the ultimate goal of taking this same passion and drive to the collegiate level.
