Personal Statement
I attended Wakefield Memorial High School in the school year 2019. I played multiple sports, and I was the starting offensive guard as a freshman on the varsity football team. Because of the influence Covid-19 had on public education, with online learning only for almost half the year, (and my grades not being what we thought they should be), my parents and I decided to transfer to Malden Catholic for the school year 2020. Malden Catholic’s remote education during these pandemic times was state of the art, and the best around, and they valued in-person teaching and a full school day unlike what I was doing at Wakefield high. My Parents wanted me to get the best shot at a good education, so I can continue my education after high school at a good college. My dream is that I would love to participate in college football at a high level of play. After spending two years at Malden Catholic, I transferred to Austin prep high school. Austin prep is a very good college prep school and here I will be able to continue playing football and sports until I graduate the next year 2024. Austin prep joined the ISL in their athletics this year, and we play against very high competition including many post-grad players. I am seeking a college that will help prepare me for the career I seek in becoming a physical therapist. I am also looking to get any help financially from any type of athletic and educational scholarship, to help pursue my dreams. I am hoping my love and talent from football can help in getting the career I want. Although I was only a freshman in the 2019 school year, I worked my way into earning the starting left guard position. In some games, depending on the game plan, I was a rotating defensive lineman that would go in on 3rd and 4th downs. When I was in 8th grade, at the end of the season, I was invited to practice with the High school varsity team. A big reason this happened was my advantages in athletism, my size and skill, and my ability to understand my duties of the play call on the field. I am passionate about the game of football and I was competing in other sports for the last few years (baseball, basketball, and wrestling) but I have now put my efforts into working year-round on both of my defensive and offensive positions in football. I have been a captain for some of my teams in the past, and I will hope to be one someday on my new high school football team, by leading by example on and off the field. I am training hard and have hit new personal records in all aspects of weightlifting. I am now squatting 605 for two reps and benching 375 for 4 reps. I have one more year to prove to college coaches I am worthy of a spot on their football team.
