Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Anthony Loik. I am a sophomore at Lakeville memorial high school in Michigan. I love the game of football and always wanted to play at the next level and even further. Throughout my life I've always told people my dream was to play in the NFL but they always looked at me and laughed and said I'll never make it. But I never let that stop me from working towards my dream. This past winter and summer I was in the weight room literally everyday working to become better. This shows that I am willing to do what it takes to become better. Academically, I knew that without the grades no college would want me so I had to become better at that. All through middle school I got A's, B's, and even C's. But last summer is when I wanted to become better off the field and education mattered to me. So 8th grade year I ended with all A's and one B. Freshman year was a tough year for me. I had good grades the first semester but things took a turn for the worse. It’s clear that I’m no B, C, and D kid but there were really tough times in my life this past year. I have moved out of my moms and now live with my dad that I have never lived with. Everything is very different for me and sometimes it’s hard to not think about but I use all the frustration and anger to motivate me. So far in my sophomore year, I really strived to do my best and currently maintain all A’s! I knew in my heart that I couldn't let it stop me. I woke up everyday to represent other kids in this world that go through far worse than what I do. That's why I want to go to the NFL. I knew how hard it is to be hated and not wanted by a lot of people so I wanted to prove to the kids that go through hardships that they can't give up and they have to keep going. I really want a chance more than anything and would do anything to play and will never give up.
