Personal Statement

Coaches around the country have the ability to view a player's profile and judge an athlete by his size, stats and highlight video. But no coach can really evaluate a player until the first day of hitting, when coaches can see that player's desire to play. Through the NCSA I can enter my speed, height, weight etc. But there are no slots that measure my character, desire and leadership. Through this personal statement I can promises coaches around the country that I possess all those traits. I can promise that I will not leave the weight room with one ounce of energy, that I will come to every practice with a completive edge and I can assure that adversity will not break me. Some of my best assets are my leadership skills, work ethic and determination to succeed and help others along the way. I'm the first person on the field and the last to leave the field. I am one of the strongest and fastest on my team but one of my goals is to help my teammates all get faster and stronger on the field. Even though I wanted to play linebacker and had the skills to do so, I did what my coaches asked me to do and what was best for the team and played d-tackle. I have been playing LB since little league and this was my first time ever on the d-line and I dominated as an underclassmen.  I've been playing football since I was 7 years old so football is not just a game to me, it's my passion, I eat, sleep and breath football. My long term goal is to play football in the NFL and I know I will get their with hard work and dedication. My short term goals are to help my team win a state championship next year, graduate high school with honors, and attend a college that will help me obtain a degree in business and get me closer to my goal as a NFL player. I don't have a preference were I want go to school I just want to get a good education and play football.
