Personal Statement
My time on the Frankenmuth Football team has taught me one thing, everything in life is earned not given. We believe in this ideology so much we decided to make it the teams moto for this year. With our teams recent success, lots of competitors in the area think that all that separates us from them is the wings on our helmets and the place we go to school, that going to back to back state semi finals was just given to us. I don't blame them for that assessment because they would have no way in knowing how hard we work as a team or as individuals that give all we have to our team. Frankenmuth football as a culture is one of hardwork, we average 60 guys out on the track at 8 AM all summer long and that is something no one sees. Last year, I played defensive tackle for the varsity team my sophomore year. This year, I started the year playing on the offensive line (I played both Tackle and Guard) because that is what my coach told me gave the team the best chances to win games. However, then they saw a need for me on defensive side and without question or a second thought I moved mid season to defensive tackle. This is my one trait I feel separates me from my peers, my willingness to do anything the team needs me to do to make the team better.
