Personal Statement
Hi my name is Shane Henry I live in a small town in Michigan called Gobles. I've been playing football for some 10-11 years, and it has always been a dream of mine to come from a small town and play college football. I am currently a Junior in high school, and have just finished my second year on varsity. Last year I was moved up to varsity to start as a defensive back and as a sophomore I earned First-Team All Conference for defensive back, and my team went 5-4 losing our last game of the season to just miss the playoffs. This year I started on basically everything besides field goal, I played Fullback in the wing T and defensive back as a lock down corner, which means my Coach would watch the film and see if anyone was a threat as receiver and he would put me on him and stay on him the whole game no matter where he went. Again, at the end of this year I got named First-Team All Conference for defensive back also I was named First Team All-Area, and the Kalamazoo Gazette chose me to be on the Kalamazoo Dream Team. Our fifth game of the season this year I let up one reception and did not let up one again until our last season game where I let up 1. This year my team went 7-3, we made the playoffs this year and the first game of the post-season we unfortunately lost. Next year I expect nothing less, I am truly blessed for what I have, and the athletic ability God has blessed me with. Thanks, Shane
