Personal Statement
I'm considering an advance degree Business with an emphasis in Finance but I'm also interested in coaching and want to play football at the highest levels.
Over the past couple of year, I've focused on training with Nolan's Long Snapping several times a week to improve my snapping. Through training with Nolan, I've learned much more than what Camps offer and have consistently improved. In my senior year, I've focused on my education (3.82 GPA) as well as getting ready for the next level. I've had success at the camps I've participated in this fall/winter and have been in the finals several times during head to head competition. In the past, I've attended numerous Rubio Long Snapping Camps, Kohl's Kicking and Kornblue kicking camps as well as several College camps (Penn State University, Iowa State University, Michigan State University, University of Michigan) and also a couple of invite only long snapping camps (FBU Top Gun, Underclassman Invitational). This has allowed me to be nationally ranked in the top 75 long snappers in the country through several resources including the #1 go to.
Over the summers, I've worked at our family farm where I bail hay, fix machinery and build buildings on the property. During this time, I stay with my Grandparents and help them with their business at the end of the day. I believe that the hard work that I'm putting in right now will pay off in the future as I'm focused on my future and will make it happen. For part of this upcoming summer, I'm going to be participating in an exchange program with a school in Germany. I'll be living with a family in Lohne Germany and attending school, then traveling Germany to finish up my stay.
I am a very positive person who always likes to smile. I was given the nickname "Smiles" when I played on the youth footbal team in Grand Ledge. I work hard at trying to be the best at whatever position I am placed into on the football field. I have played various positions over the years but am now focused on the long-snapping position.
I work hard to keep up my grades in high school. Even with being one of the youngest in my Senior class, my current GPA is a 3.82. I plan on keeping this up and because of the load that I take, I'm also in advance classes (AP) this year.
