Dear prospective Coach, thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am very fortunate to be currently playing for a great football program here at Grandville High School. As a freshman, I was the first string right tackle. Our team had a successful season finishing 8-1. We averaged 44 points per game and rushed for over 3,300 yards in that season. Before the season started, my Coach asked me to be the Captain of the offensive line. I was then selected to be a team Captain as well.
As I began my Sophomore season, I was once again named Captain of the JV team. After the third game of the season, I was pulled up to varsity. Later that week, I was named first string left tackle on the varsity team.
My Junior year, I returned as a starter and leader of our offensive line. Our team had a great season and finished 7-3. We finished second in the OK Red conference and earned a spot in the playoffs. Our offense averaged over 37 points per game. At the conclusion of the season I was named to the OK Red All Conference Team.
From a young age, I have had the goal to play football at the College level. I have been blessed with the size to make that goal a possibility. Couple my size with my work ethic, I feel I will be a good contribution to a college team in a few years. With the support of our strength and conditioning team at Grandville High School, I have made significant gains in the weight room since the beginning of my freshman season. We continue to work hard to reach my goals.
I currently have a 3.2 GPA. I do well in the majority of my classes. I am aware of the classes that I need to improve on and am taking steps to get better. One of those steps includes working with a tutor during the summer. Although I am undecided on a major for college, I do enjoy working with children. I volunteer time with our youth camps as often as possible. That is leading me in the direction to continue that opportunity in the future as a potential career. As I look at colleges, I am looking for a college that will be the best fit for me athletically, academically and socially. Thank you again, for taking the time to view my profile.
