Hello,
My name is Joshua Amani Tucker. As of now I am currently not playing football, but I am in my first year of college at Rochester Technical and Community College. I am 5 ft. 8 in., 175 lbs., and I run a 4.4 in the 40 yd dash. In high school I was a senior team captain, starting tailback, and starting cornerback for Hazel Park High School Vikings varsity football team. I also had kick return, and punt coverage duties. I have been playing organized football since the age of 8 years old, and it has since been my dream to play football at the collegiate level. I have attended various football camps around the united states, such as sound mind and sound body football training camp, in hopes of honing, and advancing my football skills. I am a very hard working, driven, and determined person that doesn't mind starting at the bottom. I am confident that my skills, and what I know about football can be great attributes to a football program if given the opportunity. I am open to types of schools, sizes of schools, and regions of where schools are located because I am truly appreciative of any school that is willing to give me an opportunity to fulfill my dream. I believe that my strengths are my speed, strength, football I.Q., and my ability to play many different positions. My weaknesses are my inexperience against the level of competition that I will face at the collegiate level, and my size, which is only a weakness to those that view it as a weakness. I believe my size is more of an asset than a liability because it gives me a better ability to stay low to the ground when I'm running the ball, and helps me to go almost unnoticed so that I am able to make big plays on defense. I know that I don't know everything that there is to know about football. I also know that every level of football competition is a lot more challenging than the last, but just as I have worked hard to learn what I do know, and get to where I am as a football player, I am prepared to work a lot harder, and be a lot more studious than ever so that I can be the very best that I can be as a football player, a teammate, and as a person overall. In closing I believe that I can be a valuable asset to whatever program that will have me. I am excited, thrilled, and focused about the possibility of being a great student at a college / university, and being able to help a college / university's football program. Give me a chance, and I promise that you won't be disappointed. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Joshua Amani Tucker
