My name is Mason Dekker. I am currently a junior at West Ottawa High school in Holland, Michigan. My sports are football and track, but I plan on playing football in college. My freshman year in high school I was pulled up to the junior varsity football team. I worked very hard and was the leader of our defense starting a middle linebacker. Half way through the season we voted for Captains, and my older peers voted me as one. My sophomore year I was pulled up to our Division 1 varsity team. Early on I played outside linebacker; then after the first couple games I was switched to Mike where I excelled. As a Sophomore I lead our defense with 117 total tackles and was named First Team All-Conference. This year I played a little fullback and again middle linebacker. I finished this year on 98 total tackles on two less games then last year because we did not make the playoffs and advance. My goals are to next year lead my team to the playoffs, and be an All-State linebacker. I plan to major in something in the health industry, but I am currently undecided. I will be the first person in my family to attend college, which I am extremely proud of. My Junior year highlights will be on youtube soon but here is the link to my Hudl page. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1649652/.
