Personal Statement

I have been playing football since I was nine years old.  I entered a punt, pass, and kick contest when I was a freshman and made it to Ford Field for the state finals and I  placed third.  This experience had opened my eyes to what hard work can get you and coming from a small town in Michigan how much talent is out there.

My parents taught me to always work to the be the best I can be at everything.  Football is my passion, so I go above and beyond every chance I get to improve my skills.  Growing up, I learned that nothing comes easy, you get what you put in and I don't accept anything except above average results from myself.

My entire academic career I have been on the honor roll and I take AP and honors classes.  I always strive to make myself the best I can be, both physically and mentally, on the field and in the classroom.  I am the captain of the team because I lead by example.  I also tutor and mentor my peers and younger students and athletes.

I am a competitor and I strive for excellence, so playing at the collegiate level is my dream.  I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.  As a three-sport athlete and Captain, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!   I am open to all options and hope to achieve my ambitions.
