Personal Statement

I am in my Senior Year at Portland High School in Portland, MI. I am 6' 2-1/2", 185 lbs. I was the starting defensive end and wide receiver on the PHS Varsity Football Team. We finished our season 10-1 in Division 5 this year and were the CAAC White Conference Champions. We ended our regular season ranked #1 in the Associated Press Poll. Last year, we finished our season with a record of 10-1 and were also the 2015 CAAC White Conference Champions.

For the 2016 season, I received awards so far for Division 5 All State First Team, CAAC White All League First Team, Team Defensive Player of the Year voted on by my teammates, Lansing State Journal Dream Team, and Lansing State Journal Defensive Player of the Year Finalist.  I strive for greatness in myself and my teammates, I am very coachable, and a leader that works hard to lead others by setting a good example. We are not only a team, we are a family. Our schedule this year was tough, but we did great things as a football team/family.

My family has been the biggest supporters through my journey so far, and it means the world to me in my on-going success. I look forward to discussions with potential college coaching staff in hopes to succeed in my future goals.
