Jonathan Maat '22 Recruiting Profile

1. Collegiate goals would be to excel in my academics – currently looking at sports or business management.  
2. To be a part of a football team where I not only bring my gifts and talents, but to development myself as a leader on the team and development myself as an athlete on all levels.
3.  I desire to continue to learn more about the game of football not only as a player but to receive greater incite from the coaches perspective.

Candidate for the team:

1. I have been told and I believe that I am a gifted leader both on and off of the field and I would bring that enthusiasm to the team. 
2. I always go the extra mile in practice and I am willing to play any role that the coach needs me for during a game.  

Different from other recruits:

1. When I have been challenged with some classes, I know I have to get more serious with my studies and homework which means putting in the time.
2. One character trait that I believe sets me apart is the fact that I not only love the game, but I will watch football plays and players to learn more about my position on the field and how to better develop my skills so that I can stand out. After watching videos, I always go outside and apply what I saw and I have found that between my own practice sessions and the team practices, I have grown tremendously in the sport.
