My name is Giuseppe Gottfried, a sophomore at Saline High School, graduating in 2022. I start at left guard on the Varsity Football team. From my earliest memories, I have always been passionate about football and my love for the game continues to grow every day.
At 6’4” and 270 lbs., my ultimate goal is to play college football at the highest level my skills and desire will allow me and I have dedicated my life to this objective. With a 3.7 GPA in Honors and Advanced Placement classes, I’m looking for a university that will not only challenge me athletically, but academically as I look to pursue an undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine.
While there are many influences in my life, my family is my greatest inspiration. As the oldest of three boys, it’s my personal responsibility to set an example for them on how to represent our family, team and community. As a former college football player, my father has also inspired me to put in the work to reach the next level. I pride myself on my personal work ethic, both on and off the field. As a three-sport athlete (football, hockey and baseball) I put in countless hours of athletics training, but I also have a passion for the arts as a cellist in Saline’s High School Symphony Orchestra and as a pianist since age 8.
In addition, I contribute greatly to the community as a youth leading fundraiser for Operation Injured Soldier, as a Jr. Coach in Football, Baseball and Hockey and as a volunteer within my church. This passion for athletics, academics and community has been recognized my teachers, coaches and teammates as a leader and captain over the years.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my personal profile and leave you with this: If you’re looking for a leader on and off the field, someone with the physical skills and drive to continually improve, a player that is coachable, relentless and focused on individual and team development… I’m the person you want to represent your team, your university and you as a coach. I look forward to hearing from you and again, I appreciate your time.
