Personal Statement

Hello my name is Eddie Beal, I'm 19 years old I'm from Southfield, MI just gradurated in May of 2009. Currently going to a Fresno City College in California I always was viewed by my teammates as a team leader. I believe within myself as a team leader. I'm a very humble guy don't think I'm the greatest athlete but I'm a good solid athlete, game time when needed I will step up to the plate, but most in importantly in the weight room and at practice. My coaches viewed me as a coachable player I listen and do what they tell me to do. Is Eddie Beal a prideful person? No. I'm confident at what I do and the decision I make on and off the field. Never have I been suspensed from school or went to jail for anything, not saying I'm a Mr. Goodie to Shoes. I know when thiers a time for everything. I'm a down to earth guy, easy to talk to, make friends easily, and helpful to others. I never had any problems with any of my coaches coming from little league all the way through high school. I will give my 100% and more to better myself and for the team.I started playing football at the age of 10 years old playing for a police athletic league (PAL). I started at wide receiver I was the main go to guy. The next year I went to the B-team 11 -12 years old, first year played tight end the only 11 year old to started. We won the championship. 2nd year, first year playing quarterback. I lead the team undefeated 9-0 but lost the 2nd in the palyoffs. I move up to A-team and lead the team undefeated 9-0 and beat the number 1 team in the league with a game winning touchdown pass. I went to high school my sophomore year I was on varsity backing up the senior quarterback. I in up starting the homecoming game my first high start because to quarterback was fighting in the locker room. We won that game 27-7. Threw a touchdown pass which i audible to. I faced a lot of adversities, dealing with the teams was trying to take me out the games because I was I durl threat. I can run and pass the ball. One team try to knock me out the game but i came back in the game in the fourth quarter. We was down 3 touchdown almost won. Went into double overtime lost by 1 point, a blocked field goal, 34-35. I made history a my high school and set a few records. Our school never made it pass the first- round of the playoff. We won distitic and regional championship. I threw the game winner pass in double overtime in the back of the endzone. Football has taught me a lot about life and about myself , how to face adversities. In a college I'm looking for what type of programs they have for my major is it a good one? Whats the state like, campus, weather, the facilies, whats the success rates of getting a job after graduating, the coach staff, and hear from the players. People have told me I can play DI football and I believe that but I fell its up to the coaches. I have receive offers from DI schools. Central Michigan, Wisconson, Bowling Green, Michigan St. Toldeo, and one D2 but the top D2 Grandvalley St. My desire is just not to play D1 ball, I would love to, but to play at a solid school were I can play and show my talent and move to the next level. The NFL!!
