All my life, football has always been of great importance to me. I started playing football when I was six years old and have been playing ever since. Even before I started competitively playing, my grandpa, who was head coach at my local high school, would take me to his football practices. I remember being totally engrossed in the atmosphere of the game, as I saw the drive and strength of the older players. Today, I look back on my upbringing, and reflect on the fact that football has been the biggest contributing factor to my character, education, and leadership abilities. Playing on an eight man football team in a small town in northern Michigan has allowed me to strive for bigger and better things. I believe any coach or team would be lucky to have me because of my abilities as a versatile team player, and strong ambition to succeed. As an active volunteer in helping my community, church, and school; my beliefs, and moral understandings are considered by most to be advanced for my age. Although the three sports I play are important to me, I also take my academics very seriously. A career in the health and science field will be challenging, and I know that playing football in college will provide me with the structure needed to focus on myself, and my degree.
