Personal Statement
Dear Prospective Coach; I have played football since I was 7 years old. Since that time I have played almost every position on the field. I started as a lineman then moved into a running back then quarterback. My freshman year I was the starting quarterback for out JV team and started at outside linebacker and on special teams. At the end of that season I was moved up to varsity during the playoffs and started on special teams for the rest of the year. My sophomore year I started at running back, outside linebacker, and on special teams for the varsity team. Midway through my sophomore season I was moved to quarterback and finished out the year there, and ended up getting first team all conference that year. My junior year, we got a new coach and I was moved back to running back and remained there for the whole season. I was a team captain and was awarded team MVP and honorable mention first team all conference in my junior year and team MVP, first team all conference and region along with honorable mention all state for my senior year. On the field I am flexible, being able to play multiple positions on all sides of the ball.
Outside of football, I wrestle and run track. For wrestling, my team won team districts 2 years in a row, and I won individual districts my sophomore year. My junior year I also qualified for the state tournament for wrestling. I am on varsity for both track and wrestling.
In school, I am on the honor roll and I am taking advanced classes. I have taken the SAT and ended up with a score of 1180.
I am looking forward to the opportunity to potentially earn a spot on a great football program with the benefit of continuing my education at an excellent college.
