Personal Statement

I will be a great addition to any team.  I have a strong work ethic, love to be challenged and I know how to lead and follow.  I truly place team before personal goals.   I am a focused, enthusiastic player who does not get discouraged.  I learn from my mistakes and move on.   I have played for multiple teams over my career and easily adapt to new systems and expectations.  An important characteristic I possess is leadership.  I am respected by my classmates, faculty, and team because I believe that if you give respect you will receive it.  I encourage my teammates and motivate them to perform at a higher level, and we do!

Academics come first.  I am passionate about athletics.  I am already prepared for the challenge of being a collegiate student-athlete.  The rigors of my academic expectations along with being a very talented two-sport athlete make me an ideal candidate for a college or university seeking a standout athlete with a great head on his shoulders.  I want to attend a college or university with a great business program because I aspire to become an entrepreneur.

  • http://www.poppsqbtutor.com. Coach Popp teaches at Birney K-8 School in Southfield, Michigan. He has been at Birney since 1992 and has been teaching for 28 years in all. Coach Popp has been working with Al Fracassa educating QBs at his QB Camp since 1978. He coached at Maple City Glen Lake, Brother Rice and Southfield Lathrup High Schools. Coach Popp is the former offensive coordianator at Brother Rice. He is currently the Head Football Coach at Lake Short High Schooll. He played high school football at Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan. He was an All State Quarterback his senior year. In the 1983 Michigan High All-Star game, Coach Popp started for the East Team. He then attended Wayne State University where he was a three year starter. He has worked with quarterbacks such as Alex Malzone, Cheyne Lacanaria, Shane Morris and many others.
