The summer before my sophomore year I focused my own efforts on becoming a solid left tackle capable of making the varsity team. Making the varsity team as a sophomore was the first highlight of my high school career. My first year on the team help me grow as a person and player when I became the starting center on the team. I grew the most as a student athlete when I was called upon to switch my focus from left tackle to center. I had never played center but the coaches confidence in my skills, personal hard work, dedication, and confidence in myself made my sophomore year a great success.
The other highlight of my high school career so far is the ability to be a versatile player. My position during my junior year is left tackle but I have also been called upon to play center at times of need. Looking forward to my senior year my goal is to become a captain of the team. In preparation to be a captain I have participated in a leadership Academy. I learned to value teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership to take our team to a championship level.
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a student athlete dedicated to the game of football, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
