Personal Statement
When you say the word passion, what comes to your mind? The first thing that comes to my mind is football, football has been in my life for longer then I can think, to listening to my grandma and grandpa talk about the Vikings Cowboys game to going to my first varsity football game, who would have thought only 4 years later from that game i would be playing in the national JUCO championship in Mississippi. Football is a huge part of my life and that's how it will be apart of my life forever.
I enjoy working with youth of all ages. That is to say I volunteer to be a referee for youth wrestling and enjoy being a mc at youth football events. I feel I have good qualities that will help the younger kids become well rounded individuals and I can help them see the importance of being a team player. I have fun in my sports and daily experiences. I truly believe that people around me can see that my dedication and commitment make me the person I am.
Making the all conference team, the all conference most valuable defensive player, and my teams most valuable defensive player has made me realize that my commitment and attitude of winning isn't everything but wanting to win is. That is to say, it has made me realize that when you are committed to something you will grow through conflict and become a stronger athlete but more importantly become an individual committed to the task in front of you.
I have a whatever it takes attitude, I am a team player and I like to be held accountable for my actions. I love football, I think big, I have great mental focus, I am coachable, I expect success from both myself and team, I am always looking to improve, I have great work ethic, and I am willing to do what it takes!
With your help, I will push myself to new limits and I know I will be a great contributor to your college and your team.
