Personal Statement
My name is Jacob Winters. I have played football since I was 6 years old and I hope to play for many more years. My goal is that my skills on the field can help me achieve my goals off the field. I am looking into attending a college where I can pursue a degree in either business or sports therapy. I am torn between those two right now and want to keep looking at my options. If playing football can help me achieve my life's goal then I am determined to make that happen.
Football has and always will be a big part of my life. Football builds character and teaches life lessons. I am a leader on and off the field. This is crucial in life as well in football. I believe that a good leader not only tells how to do something but shows how to do it. I believe I am that person. I want to win and will do what it takes to win. The same can go for anything in life. As for academics, I am willing to put in the effort to raise my grades because I know I can do better. Football has given me the determination needed to reach my academic goals. I hope any future coach will look at me and see that I am willing to work hard, determined, teachable, and have the desire in me to win in football, the classroom, and in life.
