Personal Statement
I began my football career at a small 1A school where I was given the opportunity to play quarterback at the varsity level when I was in the eighth grade. I learned a lot from that experience. But I grew the most as an athlete and a leader when, in the ninth grade, my family moved and I transferred to a much larger 4A school. I had to work hard to earn the position of starting varsity quarterback. Then, in the spring of 2016, I transferred to a 6A school and earned the position of starting QB. These experiences have taught me the value of hard work, dedication, strong character and striving for a goal. I have also learned, through countless hours spent on service projects and mission trips with my church, that true leaders are servants first, and foremost.
I am looking for a college where I can put these lessons into practice, both on the football field and in the classroom. I am very interested in the field of civil engineering and would love to find a school in the southeastern U.S. where I can excel academically and athletically. I believe my work ethic and leadership skills make me a good choice for your team. Feel free to contact my head coach, Rocky Gaudin (228-297-2780) for more information.
