Personal Statement
I am a 6’1 245lbs Senior DE/LB from Ocean Springs, Ms. I started three games as a sophomore for Ocean Springs High School varsity team and I started all our games as a Junior,. My senior year so far, I have played all DL positions and outside/inside LB. Our team is in the biggest division in Ms. Our school sent 23 former players to DI Universities (DeAndre Brown USM, Travis Dickson LSU, JT Dickson LSU, Allen Howze USM and Joe Morrow Mississippi State, this year. I have a 3.63GPA in core classes and an 19 ACT score on my first try in the 10 grade; I will take the ACT again in December. I have completed all my graduate requirements this fall and will grad out in December, looking to enroll in college in the spring of 2013. Im avg 9 tackles a game while being double team this year from the DL position.
I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of Pre-Med or Digital Forensic. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I believe my best fit would be at the DI or DII level, although I will absolutely consider high academic DIII opportunities. I am bilingual and my Dad served 25 honorable years in the USAF, my Mom is from Panama. I have lived in several countries abroad. My coach said I have a motor and great work ethic.
