Playing for 3 different coaching staffs, 3 losing seasons, and injuries, I know what it takes to push through adversity. I feel that I have grown as a man and student-athlete each year for different reasons, but I grew the most my senior year. During this year I refined my leadership skills by being a team captain again and the need for me to be a leader became greater as seniors had graduated. Even with being the youngest of 4 children, I have always been a natural leader by example and by words.
For all of my life I have made everything into a ball and loved anything pertaining to sports. When I got old enough to play sports I played every sport I could, with my dad being a coach in most of these. He has taught me to love each of these games and give 100% in everything I do. As a part of giving my all, I have intentionally included academics in this. Being academically talented will help me longer in life than most anything else I can do.
