Jake Hughes '18 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Jake Hughes I have a lot of goals that  I want to compete at the collegiate level.  The goals I want to meet at the Collegiate level is being a Starter for 2 years or more, being a captain, leaving a mark on the program that will leave a positive mark within the program.  What makes me a good candidate for your team is that I don't quit on my team even if we become down by 40 points.  I always give my all on every play. I don't quit on plays until the whistle is blown.  Even if the running backs is 40 yards away from me, I still try to run him down  so that I can tackle him and stop a touch down. I am different from other recruits because I love football no matter what my record is and I haven't stopped to get better at football since I began playing.  I do things that other recruits don't like wake up 4:50 every morning to go to lift weights. I also pick up some freshman or others that can't drive yet for weights so we can get better as a team.  

    I understand the coaching aspect of the game since my dad is a coach and I also want to be a college coach.  I have been around High school football since I was five years old.  By seeing teams work hard, the dedication at camps and two a days I have seen teams win championship and I understand the commitment and dedication it takes.
