During my high school football career, I have won a total of 5 games. During my last two years of high school, we didn't win a single game. Those two years taught me not only a lot about myself, but also a lot about life. I learned that no matter how much talent your team may have, if you don't work hard and have respect for every man on your football team, you're never going to truly win. After we went winless in my junior year, I could have just given up on football and walked away, but I didn't. My love of the game and the love for my teammates drove me to work as hard I possibly could day in and day out.
Although it clearly didn't pay off on the scoreboard, it made me a mentally tough human being and it has only increased my appetite for success. all of those losses drove me not only to want to succeed on the football field but also in life. I want to be a winner even after my collegiate career is over. I aspire to graduate college with a degree that will guide me through my career and ensure that I'm set for a prosperous life.
I firmly believe that I would be a great addition to any team. I'm motivated to be the best player I can be and I'm always willing to listen to advice from my coaches. My strong worth ethic has led me to great things such as becoming a varsity starter in my sophomore year, having outstanding grades throughout high school, and becoming addicted to lifting weights.
I know that I'm never going to be the biggest player on the field, but I'm willing to stand up and compete against anyone no matter what. My last two years in high school left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get it out.
