Personal Statement
I have known since starting elementary school, that I would go to college. My parents have raised me with the expectation that getting a college education is an absolute expectation. As a student in my junior year, I have maintained a 4.0 as a student, ranked number one in my class. I will not allow myself to earn less than an A. I have always understood from my parents the importance of being a student. Because of this collegiate goals I have are to continue to put academics first. I know after my final steps on a football field, I must have a college degree that puts me into the workforce ready for a lifelong productive career. As a student, I have always been driven to work hard, listen, and to do my best. These qualities I also possess in athletics. I play football, basketball, and run track, I enjoy basketball and track, but I love playing football. As a player, I show up just like in the classroom always doing my best. I have been told, if I lack in skills, I definitely make up for any weaknesses in grit and determination. I will work the hardest, and will give all I have got for my team. I care about my team, and understand not one player is better or more important, but what we accomplish together is what counts. For my team, I do not miss practice, I do not show up late, I will not quit. I give my all to my team, coaches, my parents, and lastly for myself. I aspire to be a student athlete playing football at the college level.
