Personal Statement
I play football. It is in my bones, it is in my blood. I have a passion for the sport. My mom says I could play it in my sleep. I love the sport, from the sounds of the crunch of the pads, to the sounds of the fans in the stands. With every sport you experience the highs and lows, but it is what you learn from the lows that makes the difference. We are only a strong as our weakest player, and if we learn from our mistakes, and play as a team, we accomplish more. Football is not a sport for the weak at heart. It can be gut wrenching and heart pounding. But, like me, I find it the most thrilling thing in life.
I feel I would make a great addition to any college team. I play the sport with all my heart. I put in 100%, no holding back, that is how you get hurt. You go hard, strong, and push your body, sometime to its limits. But at the end of the day, when you look back, it was all worth it, and you smile. I am willing to give 100%, no questions asked, because when I play, I play with passion.
I am different from other players, only in size, in color, and in determination. I have the drive and the heart and the willingness to go far, to give much and to support other players that may fall along the journey. I may not be the smartest one on the field, but, I make up for it in determination. I learned a long time ago, that if it is my dream, nothing can take it away from me but myself, my own unwillingness to make it happen.
