My name is Daniel Nickel. I am 6'5" and 315 lbs. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and plan to graduate high school in May of 2022. My main collegiate goal is to continue my education and play football at the highest level. I am a good candidate for a collegiate football team because I am a natural leader. I consistently encourage and push my teammates to be their best both on and off the field. I am very teachable meaning I am open to criticism and suggestions on how to improve in all aspects of the game. I thrive to push myself in the game and to become a better version of myself in my day to day life. I am accepting of all people and welcome new people into my life each day. Growing up with a father who is a Marine, our household was very structured with daily activities such as chores, meals, and school work. In 2015, my mother passed away from Stage 4 Lung Cancer, however, I continued to strive everyday to be the best version of myself and overcome this adversity just as she would have wanted me to. I live everyday to make my mother proud. I stand out in athletics because of my unteachable size. I use this factor to my advantage on the field. I dedicate my time six days each week in order to perfect my skills and increase my muscle mass. For my large size, I am still explosive off the line and have a very aggressive play style. Even with my intense dedication to football six days a week, I always manage my time in order to complete my homework and excel in my studies as well.
