Personal Statement

My name is Frankie Baez.  I am 6’  180lb Senior.  I am an athlete  from St. Louis, Missouri.  I have played on the Mehlville Senior High school varsity team for three years.  I play kicker, long snapper, wide receiver, and outside linebacker.  We had a 7-2 for the season.   I personally learned a lot from this season, it helped me grow to be a better person.  I learned what it takes to be a leader, team mate and a coachable athlete.  The season made me work hard in the classroom as well as strengthening my skills as an athlete.

When I am not at practice or playing, I use my knowledge and leadership skills  to coach the Mehlville Junior Panthers 8th Grade Football team.  I am an All-Conference Club Member of the National Football Foundation, member of the FCA and received the Mehlville High school Character Award for Determination.

I am part of an amazing program that teaches me not only how to get better as an athlete but life skills as well. I learned what it really means to commit and to sacrifice from my program, and I will give 110% effort no matter what the score is.  Not only that I learned how to become a better team mate and a better leader without a trophy.  I also learned how to not be selfish.  I know I have what it takes to be part of your team and I will be glad to make an impact with the traits I have learned and the skills I have developed.

I am looking for a university where I can balance play time and academic studies.   I am an athlete and I can quickly contribute to the team.   I want to pursue a career in business.
