Personal Statement
My name is Michael, I am a 6’3”, 250 lb., senior from Webster Groves, Missouri. I have had the honor to play on our varsity team since my freshman year. My first varsity position was as a defensive lineman, then as center. I am a versatile player, and it is very common to see me on either side of the ball.
My abilities and statistics are one thing, but football means more to me than that. It means more than how fast I can run, or how many pounds I squat. I agree that those are important, but what I really enjoy is being part of something bigger than myself. Being part of a team, a family, and a community. Football is a commitment to not just yourself. It’s a commitment to my coaches, my school, my family, and every other player that lines up next to me. It’s about being a leader on and off the field, and supporting my team in and out of the locker room. In a few short years I will be ready to make the commitment and find my college team and home. I will be able to fulfill my goal of earning a degree that will allow me give back to my community and college family.
I invite you to look at my NCSA site and my hudl. Please find my contact information below. Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit more about me.
