Jay Higgins '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jay and I have played football since I was 12 years old. I stepped straight into the Quarteback position because of my height and arm strength.  My father quickly taught me there is much more to this position than arm strength and being tall.  I had to be the smartest player on the field and learn to read defensive fronts and become the leader for the team.   Becoming a leader is one of my best attributes because I enjoy making everyone around me better.  I believe Leadership is not only a great attribute for me on the field but also in life.  I always find myself in school helping other and leading others to always do the right thing for the right reasons.  Playing at the next level has become a dream for me and now I believe I have the correct skill set to accomplish this goal and be successful.  One of my favorite quotes is "Perfection is impossible but if you strive for perfection you can accomplish excellence."
