My name is Rhett Foster and I am a 6’2” 175 lb. Junior at Smithville High School in Smithville, MO. I am a starting varsity wide receiver and backup varsity cornerback. I have a strong faith in Christ and have multiple attributes that will make me a valuable contribution to any football team and college student body. Loyal, humble and persistent are three words to describe me. I put family, friends and teammates first. I can be counted on in all situations. On the field, in the locker room, in the classroom and with family and friends, I pride myself on holding true to my convictions. I will always represent my school, team and coaches with integrity.
I am thankful to a very supportive family and coaches over the years. From youth football to the completion of my Junior season, I have loved the sport and have always been confident when I step on the field that I can be a key piece in my teams’ success. My skill set makes me a natural for the sport. I am extremely athletic with an exceptional vertical, great speed and agility and see the field well. I am a 3-sport athlete and lettered in varsity basketball and track. After my Junior Football Season I was awarded 2nd Team All-Conference, 1st Team All District, 1st Team All Area, 1st Team All State, and 1st Team All State Missouri Media. My Sophmore season I was awarded All Conference Honorable Mention, and my Coaches awarded me offensive new-comer of the year. That same year my basketball teammates awarded me as the most improved varsity player as well.
Sports has been the central focus of my youth and teen years, but there is more to me as a person. I am an excellent student in the classroom. I currently have a 3.90 GPA and have been recognized by several teachers for dedication to my academics. I am also active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I enjoy working with younger athletes and sharing my knowledge of the game with them. My free time is spent playing pickup basketball or throwing a football around at the field. Although undecided on what my college major will be, I am interested in law enforcement, homeland security and other criminal justice fields. I know I will excel at any goal thanks to a grounded outlook and strong work ethic.
I recently attended the 6 Star Football Combine on Dec. 6th 2020. There were 271 campers at the event. I finished with the 5th fastest time in the 40 with a time of 4.45 handheld, 2nd in the Broad Jump with a jump of 10 ft, and 2nd in the Pro-Agility shuttle with a time of 3.97 seconds. I believe that I am still growing, getting taller, faster and stronger. My coachability and respect for the game are second to none. My intelligence and multi-sport experience set me apart from other recruits. I am excited for my future and to continue my sports career at the college level.
