Football has been a part of my life since I was 5 years old. Those early days provided me the opportunity to test the waters in a brand new world. I feel lucky to have realized my passion for football so early in my life. It is during those years that the foundation was laid for what my future would be.
Since then I have never looked back and have continued to strive in all areas of my life, on and off the field. My end goal is to become a Wide Receiver in the NFL. I understand the dedication and grit needed to achieve this goal which is why I have never stopped pushing myself in a multitude of areas. I understand being a whole player is essential in this competitive arena. However, it’s my goal and I am determined to see it come to fruition.
I am always trying to find ways to improve my skills. I take and apply feedback whenever it’s provided to me. I believe constantly knowing where I’m at by reviewing my work allows me insight for me to continue to propel myself to the next level.
I apply this mindset both on the field and in the classroom. Without having self awareness and internal drive it’s difficult for the average player to reach the goals I am striving for. This is why maintaining a 4.0 GPA is imperative to my successes. This shows I’m able to consistently apply what I’ve learned. It also shows quitting for me is never an option.
My next step after high school is to attend a D1 or D2 college. I will focus my studies on either Business Management or the Medical field. I believe these skills and degree will serve me well in various areas. It will allow me to pursue a career path as well as secure the knowledge I need to sustain the level of success I desire. Finding the right school, coach and team will allow me to showcase my current skill-set but will also be the drive, push and motivation I need to go even further towards the NFL. I believe working with the right team will help us all collectively to provide the highest return on investment, both for the school and the program.
I look forward to finding my new football home and a place I can hang my cleats for the next 4 years.
