Personal Statement
Entering high school I encountered the same obstacle that most kids do their freshman year and that was being a part of a much larger team than I was used to. However, I worked hard to hold myself accountable and work towards getting to play in a varsity game. Unexpectedly, the time came sooner than I thought when coach put me in to play, as a sophomore, at the school's homecoming varsity game. From that moment, I engulfed myself fully in making myself the best player that I could be. I spent extra time after practice talking with my coaches and working on my skill set. What this moment, the practices, and the games have taught me is that if the effort is put in I can accomplish anything with my team.
