Personal Statement
Winning the Four Rivers Conference this past year has been the main highlight of my high school career. However, I feel like I grew more as an athlete and as a person during my sophomore year in which I endured some injuries, and played outside linebacker only for that season. My sophomore year taught me that sometimes contributing to a team may not always mean getting 20 carries a game. Doing what is best for the team is foremost important, ahead of personal success. This is what grew me as a player and a person, because dealing with the adversity of a losing season, injuries, and a new position made me come back working harder than ever last offseason.
I have been fortunate enough this past season to be part of a conference winning team, and our teamwork, work ethic, and commitment are what made us successful. I am looking for a program that will hold these values accountable to each player and one that will be a good fit for me. I believe that I will have what it takes to be a productive member of a college team, and one that can make an immediate impact on your team.
