Personal Statement

I am the youngest of four brothers and competition is in our genetics. My oldest brother played at the collegiate level, but his career never went any further afterwards be either in sports or his degree. It has been my goal to go farther than what he could accomplish, with a degree in hand after.  I am very  dedicated and hard work towards what I want to achieve. I know with hard work, dedication and being coachable will help me be an asset to my team as well as my teammates, whatever sport I end up playing, or whatever college I end up signing with. I will give 110% everyday. I feel that the characteristic that makes me different is when the team is down I can always be there to pick my teammates up.  It takes the TEAM to win.

My academics are also very good. I had all A's and 1 B in my freshman year of high school my GPA was 3.9. My sophomore year I carried a 3.8 gpa and was be inducted into the National Honor Society as a sophomore. My junior year, I dual enrolled in accounting and American government receiving A's in both classes. My gpa is 3.762 and I am currently 7 out of 44 in class ranking. I have been elected as Student Body President for the 2018-19 school year and look forward to expanding my leadership skills. I also received a Certificate of Recognition for our State Senator in May, 2018. Those details on also on my academic page of this profile.

I also volunteer with a youth basketball league that my parents have started and ran for the last 19 years. It is for kids preschool through 4th grade. We work on motor skills like dribbling, passing, shooting. I am a referee for the preschool through 2nd grade group. Last years session ran for 5 weeks and we had 185 kids in the total program.  I was asked to announce the 10U Play off games for the local Midget League the summer of 2016, which was an honor to come back and do. In my sophomore year, I was 2nd team all conference. In basketball for the 2016-17 season I was selected third team all conference, KMZU Dream Team Selection and Offensive Player of the Year.

My junior year I was selected 2nd team All Conference Offensive Tackle and 2nd team Defensive Tackle, 1st Team All District Defense End, 1st Team All District Offensive Line, First Team All State Offensive Line, Class 1 Media All State 1st Team Offensive Line, Class 1 District 6 Media First Team Defensive Line, and a KRES All Star for football. For basketball, I was selected 3rd Team All Conference, WHS Offensive Player of the Year, WHS Top Rebounder of the Year. In baseball, I have been selected First Team All Conference, and currently have a .386 batting average with 20 runs batted in, and hold the top spot with on base percentage.
