Personal Statement
I am excited to be sharing with you a few characteristics that make me who I am. My interest in football first began in a youth league that I found success in. Since then, my love for the sport has grown. From the early morning lifts to the bus rides to games, the time with my teammates is something that I enjoy. The buildup of anticipation all week leading up to the butterflies on game day is a feeling that I won't always have when I'm older. There is nothing better than that feeling. I’m lucky enough that my parents and grandparents have been to every game. My parents have instilled a strong work ethic in me that began in the classroom and has carried over to the field. Football has taught me that in life, the easy way isn't always the best way. I have used this lesson in my life already, and I know I will continue to use it.
To complete my academic career in high school, I plan to graduate with many achievements, as well as continuing to build strong and trusting relationships. I look to pursue a bachelor’s degree in college, although I am uncertain of my degree path. I plan to continue to maintain a good GPA like I have in high school. Due to my parents support throughout my entire life regarding school and sports, any obstacles have been diminished or lessened thanks to their support. They have taught me to treat obstacles as challenges, not setbacks. I get along well with many people including family, friends, coaches, and teachers. One of my best characteristics is seeing the bigger picture. This has resulted in me liking to plan nearly everything out. It gives me an advantage on the field, as I can anticipate a play before it happens. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully continuing my dream of playing football at the collegiate level.
