Personal Statement

My goal is to be the best player on and off the field, to my teammates and to my coaches. I will always be the best player I can be and do what is necessary that best helps my teams success. I am dedicated to become better each and every day and want to learn how to be a better player. I  will put in the work during the off season to improve in all aspects on the field. I am ready to put in long hours to become the best I can be and do the most I can to make the team successful. I won't ever give up no matter how tough a game, season, or off season gets I will always do my best.

Since the very beginning I have had a love for football, since I was 4 years old I was watching the Ohio State football games on weekend with my family. Football is one of the biggest parts of my life and one of my biggest loves. Everything about the sport is incredible, the team feeling like a brotherhood  is probably the best part about it. Hurting, fighting, going into the trenches and into the turf together, there is no greater feeling in my opinion.

My Freshmen year we had a big senior class, roughly 20 something players, I got my varsity letter by being on special teams and putting in hard work to fight for that spot. Sophomore year came and I had to truly fight for a Right Guard position, I got the starting spot but in early to the middle of the season I got covid-19 and that took me out for 2 full weeks. When I was able to come back I had 3 to 4 F's and I was way behind on school. Grades are extremely important to me and I always try to get only A's and B's and one C at the most. I was out till midterms of my first quarter and I was able to bring all my F's to at least a C. Not only did my academics suffer but so did my chance of starting the whole season, there was now 2 guys in front of me I had to now re compete just to get some playing time. By the end of the season I was able to play the 2nd half of the last game. But that taught me a great lesson that even when you fight your hardest for something it may not always reward itself to you, so you must always have in your head unless you work your butt off again tomorrow even if you already have it today you might just lose it.

I'm definitely not the fastest or the strongest on the team yet, but i'm determined to be by the first game of next season.
