Personal Statement
I am 6'1" and I weigh 23O lbs. I have been a starting middle linebacker at Beaverhead County High School in Dillon, MT since my sophomore year. I am a senior this year, was elected co-captain by my team-mates, and appointed Defensive Captain by my coaches. My team just finished our season as State Champions and are ranked 161 in the nation. I am a 4 year letterman in football and have received all-conference honors in 2009, 2010, and 2011. I was named all-conference defensive MVP this year and received all-state honors. I am also an all-state wrestler and a State Champion discus thrower. My current G.P.A. is 3.996. My priorities for choosing a college include having the opportunity to work with a great coaching staff, being part of a football team that I can make a contribution to, and obtaining a quality undergraduate education that will prepare me for graduate school. I plan to study math and science, possibly focusing on either pre-med or engineering. Currently I have no preference on the size or division of the school. My geographic preferences are the northeast region, the mountain region, and the northwest region, however I would definitely consider others that are a good match.
