Personal Statement
“You gotta believe man” this is a saying my freshman head football coach taught me to live by. Through academics and a love of the sport, football has molded and gave me the strength to pursue my love of engineering at the college level. Like my willingness to move to a new town and new high school for additional football experience, I believe the college in my future is not confined to the borders of my state. I’m willing to go coast to coast to find the college football program that is right for me.
I am a natural born leader; I have been class president since my freshman year. I am also the one who will stop by during community events to help set up in order to better my school and community.
I know what it means to have to work for what I want. Although I lettered as a freshman, I started third in the depth charts competing against seniors. I was given my first varsity start in the 2nd half of an away game, down by 36 points. I proceeded to open up my high school career with a tackle for a loss of 4 yards, to set the tone for the soon to be 46-0 2nd half shutout. Eventually giving my team the victory by 10 points and sealing the deal for my starting varsity position.
My teammates would describe me as the perfect cross between happy go lucky and Mr. T. They say this because I’m mellow, yet positive when the team needs it. However, in the fourth quarter when it’s all tied up and the team needs a stop on defense I’m the first man to start jumping around and yelling to get my team pumped up.
I’m excited to hear from each and every one of you. Thank you very much for taking the time to view my profile.
Have a great day.
