Personal Statement
I’m Tyson Hanson, I’m growing up in a small town in Montana on my fifth-generation family ranch. Football has been a part of our family for about that long also. My grandpa played college ball and he is one of my closest idols. I am very close to my families both on and off the field. I take my academics and athletics both seriously and do the best I can in any whatever role I need to do. Maybe that comes from my ranch work background when you need to get work done, you just got a find a way to do it. I know that when I graduate from high school it will be hard to leave my family, but they are always here and very supportive of whatever it is I decide to do. Being able to continue an education onto the next level will give me many more opportunities available to me than if I didn’t go to college. Going to college will affect my life in many ways, being a part of a team and a family for support will help me get through it, and I think in the end it will all pay off. I wanted to go to college because I want a better future, and I would like an opportunity to play football while doing it.
