Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Brandon Kabourek, I live in Omaha, Nebraska and I’ve been active in sports all my life.

I started at the young age of two at the Cornhusker State Games, participating in Arm Wrestling, and continued to become the  United States Boys Champion in Arm Wrestling at age 12.

Sports has been something I've always loved having in my life.   I've been involved in football, baseball, and wrestling since the first grade, and now, as a high school athlete, I can proudly say that I received my first Varsity letter as a freshman in wrestling, followed by a football and a repeat letter in wrestling during my sophomore year, which also included qualifying to compete at the Nebraska State Wrestling Championships.

When it comes to all sports, especially football, I give 110%.  I'm constantly pushing myself to the next level on the field, and in the weight room, even if that means waking up at 4:00 am every morning to go to the gym to work out and become stronger and faster than my opponents.   My teammates and coaches all know they can depend on me to get the job done,   This is the same attitude and hard-driven work ethic I will bring to a collegiate environment as well.

When it comes to my high school academics, I've always challenged myself to work to be the best, always trying to give that little bit more that will make me a smarter and well-rounded student in every subject.  Just this year I was invited to apply for the National Honor Society because of my cumulative academic qualifications, sports leadership, and well-rounded nature with the student body.   my teachers and coaches know that I will always push myself until failure, and if I fail,  I will battle back and go even harder.

I consider myself a fun, happy person everywhere I go, but when it's game time, my focus is always where it needs to be, on the field, ready and focused to do whatever is necessary to win.
