Personal Statement
Hello my name is Ben Green, I am 6'6", 230 lbs Quarterback and live in the Midwest, where we are not afraid of changes and challenges, and we take them in stride. I have played multi-sports since the 1st grade, Football, Basketball, Baseball and Track, with Football being my favorite. It has always been my dream to play college sports where I best fit in and where I can be helpful for the team. My parents have always taught me to be a leader, and not to follow the crowd, and to that highlight I earned the rank of EAGLE SCOUT in Boy Scouts.
They also taught me not to be afraid of good hard work, and never give up on a dream. Because of that work ethic I was voted Elkhorn South's athlete of the year for 2012-2013. These lessons will pay off in the long run and have built and continue to build my character. They have always said that I have to earn whatever I want and that anything given can be taken away. The person I have to answer to, is in the mirror every morning.
Through the years my biggest asset's are that coaches have always said , that I am so coach able, able to see the whole game and accuracy. At first I didn't realize what the coaches meant by "coach able" but each year I learned something new from the different coaches I had and all of my coaches helped me improve my game. I then lead my team to their first winning season and to their first state play off game. After sending the summer working to improve myself I plan on leading my team to another winning season and going farther in the state playoffs.
I enjoy being in the weight room and improving myself and inspiring others. With my dreams of playing college ball just about here and the time passing quickly I will enjoy what sports I have left in High School, hit the books hard and I will give both of them my full and undivided attention. I will play for whatever college team thinks I will best fit into, at whatever level, or what ever position, then that will be my team, it is not about me, it is about my team winning, and when necessary I will put my team on my shoulders to carry them onto a victory, one workout at a time, one play at a time, and one game at a time.
