Studying at Parkview Christian School was an opportune moment to learn numerous things in life. Being in a Christian school, the aspects of trust and integrity were highly regarded. While here, I played for the Parkview football team. I was intrigued by the support that I received from the coach and my friends, who were astonished to see an Asian so passionate about football. I liked being in the team since I shared a lot with others, and this relieved me of some problematic issues in my personal life. Regular practice inculcated in me the attributes of time management, for I had to strike a balance between academics and sports. In the same vein, I understood that football is all about strength. With the help of my friends and my determination, I trained and hit the weight room every day to get bigger. My mantra is: "I got it; I got it." Day by day, I got more prominent, and was able to tackle somebody, and finally became a football player. Those achievements paid off this year. I am on the varsity team and am a middle linebacker on defense and the guard on offense in the game. Thanks to sports, I have done something to make me feel proud of myself, my parents in particular, and Asians in general.
