Personal Statement
My name is Noah Vernon, I am a 6’0” 160 pound Junior that plays Varsity football for Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas, NV. I am a multifaceted athlete with experience at several positions such as Receiver, Cornerback, Safety, and Quarterback. I recently completed my Junior year, starting on both offense and defense, playing Receiver, Cornerback, and Safety. In my Sophomore year, I was a defensive starter, primarily playing Safety and Corner. In addition to my football experience, I am a three year Varsity letter-man on the Faith Lutheran wrestling team. During my most recent season, I finished regional runner-up in my weight class and earned the privilege to complete in the Nevada State wresting tournament in the 4A division.
Football is not only my passion, but it is a sport that has taught me several invaluable life lessons. I have learned how to become a leader and a positive role model for those around me. It has also taught me the value and importance of hard work and giving a full 100% effort all of the time. This year, these skills led me to be selected 2nd Team All-Conference. In addition, I was also awarded Player of the Game awards both for my offensive as well as defensive play. In my Sophomore year, I earned the Selfless Crusader and Special Teams Player of the Game awards. As a Freshman, I was elected by my peers as a captain of my Junior Varsity team.
I want to continue my football career and build upon the experiences I have gained by playing at the College level. I am looking for a university that will allow me to continue to excel academically while maximizing my on-field experience. I look forward to being able to continuously learn and develop both on and off the field.
