Personal Statement
Going to my older brothers football games and seeing the crowd, everyone chanting, and the excitement made me want to play football. I remember always hearing my brothers last name and number on the speaker and everyone was cheering and jumping all over the place. It made me want to be like him when I grew up, I was in kindergarten then. I remember I would find footballs in my brothers room and I played with them and I'd daydream about running down the field making a touchdown, as I would hear my name on the speaker and everyone cheering.
I started playing football my 7th grade year and I wasn't very good, but it was an awesome season since we won the championship game. I started to have second thoughts about football because I wasn't good my 7th grade year and I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep playing football until I saw a video of college football and I watched some videos of the highlights. It amazed me by how big the crowds were and how great the players were. After that, it became my dream to play college football! So, I began to train with my brother and he helped me get stronger and faster and once my 8th grade season came by I was ready to prove to myself and others that I am good enough to play. The first play of that season I made a touchdown and let me tell you, it felt amazing! I know I have the mindset to achieve anything I want if I give it my all in sports and in the classroom. My passion and dedication for football will always be there and I will strive to be the best of the best and give it my all.
